National physical activity guidelines tell you how much physical activity (exercise) you should do to stay healthy. It is recommended that adults should do 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate activity (brisk walking, biking, or any activity that gets your heart rate up a bit) or 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous activity (running, jumping jacks, or anything that really gets your heart rate up) each week. Kids ages 5-17 should do 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous activity each day. This is so your body stays healthy and strong.
