Navagraha

Navagraha is a Hindu term that means "nine planets". These planets are seen as important celestial bodies that have an impact on our lives, and they are worshipped in Hinduism as deities.

The nine planets are Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Mangal), Mercury (Budha), Jupiter (Brihaspati), Venus (Sukra), Saturn (Shani), Rahu (north lunar node) and Ketu (south lunar node). Each planet is associated with a specific deity, and each deity is believed to have a particular influence on our lives.

For example, Surya is associated with success and health, Chandra is associated with emotions and mental strength, Mangal is associated with courage and confidence, Budha is associated with communication and intellect, Brihaspati is associated with wisdom and prosperity, Sukra is associated with love and relationships, Shani is associated with hard work and discipline, Rahu is associated with technology and innovation, and Ketu is associated with spiritual growth and enlightenment.

In Hindu astrology, the position of these planets at the time of a person's birth is believed to have a significant influence on their personality and the events that occur in their life. Therefore, the Navagraha are important in determining one's life path and destiny.

People often worship these deities to seek their blessings and to mitigate the negative effects that the planets may have on their lives. This can be done through various rituals, such as reciting mantras, offering prayers, and performing special ceremonies. The importance of Navagraha is evident in many Hindu scriptures and in the daily lives of people who follow Hinduism.
