Necropolis

Okay, so have you ever heard of a graveyard or a cemetery? A necropolis is basically a fancy way of saying a really old, big graveyard. It's like a city for dead people, where they have their own special houses called tombs or mausoleums. Some necropolises are so big that they have thousands and thousands of dead people living there. People sometimes visit necropolises to show respect or remember loved ones who have passed away, just like they would at a regular graveyard.
