ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Negligible senescence

Negligible senescence means an animal doesn't age. Instead of growing older and older, it stays the same age forever. In other words, the creature never has to worry about getting old and having to slow down because it stays young and healthy. This kind of creature is very rare, but some animals like turtles, whales, and certain fish are known to have negligible senescence.
