Neolithic Greece

Neolithic Greece is a period of time a long time ago when people in Greece lived in small groups and hunted and gathered their own food. They used tools made from stone, plants and animal bones to hunt and to make things to help them live.

During this time, instead of living in big cities or towns like we have today, people lived in small communities called villages. They built their houses using materials like mud, wood, and stones. These houses were small and didn't have many rooms. People slept on the floor and stored their food and belongings in small spaces.

People in Neolithic Greece were very clever, they learned how to grow their own food instead of hunting and gathering all the time. They started to grow crops like wheat, barley, and olives which they used for food and oil. They started to breed animals like cows and sheep for milk, meat and wool.

As they became better at farming, people in Neolithic Greece started to trade with other people who lived far away. They traded things like olive oil, wine, pottery, and metal tools.

Overall, the Neolithic period in Greece marks the beginning of farming and the growth of communities, leading to the development of larger, more complex societies in the future.
