ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nepali language

Okay, so Nepali language is a way for people in Nepal, which is a country in Asia, to talk to each other. It's like how you and your friends talk to each other in English, but people in Nepal use Nepali language instead.

Nepali language has different words that mean different things, just like how "dog" means a furry animal with four legs, and "cat" means a smaller furry animal with four legs. People in Nepal learn Nepali language when they are very young, just like how you learn English when you are little.

Nepali is a bit different from English, though. It has a different alphabet, which means the letters that make up words are different. And the words are pronounced differently, too. So if you heard someone speaking Nepali, it might sound a bit different from what you're used to hearing.

But even though Nepali might seem different, it's still a special language that connects people in Nepal and helps them communicate with each other.
