Netocracy

Netocracy is a way of understanding power and social influence in today's world. It basically says that people who have the most control or influence in the world today are those who are the most skilled and knowledgeable in using the internet and technology. People with this knowledge are sometimes referred to as the "netocrats" or the "digital elite." They’re the power players on the internet and in society who have the power to shape the digital landscape. They have the skill set and resources to manipulate the internet to their own advantage and gain more influence within society.
