ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Neutron scattering

Neutron scattering is a way to study how particles move. It uses neutrons, which are really tiny particles that can zip around and crash into other particles. When they crash into other particles, they can give scientists information about the particles they ran into, like how big they are, what shape they are, and how they’re moving. This helps scientists learn a lot about different materials and how they work.
