New Kingdom of Granada

Alright kiddo, let's talk about the New Kingdom of Granada! A long time ago, there was a place called South America, and in that place, there were many different groups of people called civilizations. One of these civilizations was called the Inca Empire, and they were very powerful and had a lot of control over the land.

But then, some people came from a faraway land called Spain. They wanted to explore and find more riches for their own country, and they were able to conquer many of the civilizations in South America, including the Inca Empire.

Slowly, the Spanish started taking over more and more of the land, and they created something called the Viceroyalty of New Granada. This was a very big area that included much of South America, and it was ruled by a Viceroy who was appointed by the King of Spain.

Over time, people in the Viceroyalty of New Granada started to want more independence from Spain, and they fought for it. Finally, in 1810, they were able to break away and create their own country called Colombia.

The New Kingdom of Granada was a part of this new country, and it was made up of several provinces that included modern-day Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Venezuela. It was a time of great change as these areas started to develop their own identity and government separate from Spain.
