Newton metre

A newton meter is a way that scientists and engineers measure how strong a force is when it is used to move something. Imagine you have a toy car that you want to push, but instead of just pushing it with your hand you use a special tool to make the force stronger. That special tool is called a newton meter.

The newton meter measures how much force you use to move the toy car. It tells you how much power, or strength, you’re using to push or pull something. This is really helpful for scientists and engineers who need to figure out how much force they need to move bigger things like cars, airplanes, and even buildings!

The newton meter works by using a spring inside it. When you push or pull on something, the spring inside the newton meter stretches out. The more force you use, the more the spring stretches. The newton meter measures how much the spring stretches and tells you how much force you used.

So, if you were pushing on the toy car with a newton meter, it might say that you used 3 newton meters of force to move it. This means you used a certain amount of power or strength to move the car that was equal to 3 newton meters. It’s like a ruler for strength instead of size!
