Newton–Cotes formulas

Newton–Cotes formulas are ways to find the area between a curve and a straight line. You can think of the curve as a mountain and the straight line as a wall. The Newton–Cotes formulas can help us figure out how much space there is between the mountain and the wall. It does this by making some small straight lines out of the mountain and the wall, and then using math to count how many times it needs to add up the spaces between the straight lines to get the total space.
