Newton's theorem of revolving orbits

Hi there! So, you know how everything in the world is always moving in circles or ovals or even straight lines? This is because of gravity, which is the force that keeps everything in the universe together.

Now, there was a very smart man named Isaac Newton who figured out something called Newton's Theorem of Revolving Orbits. This sounds really complicated, but it's actually pretty simple.

Basically, imagine you have a planet (let's call it Planet A) that's orbiting around a star (let's call it Star B). Newton figured out that if you want to figure out how fast Planet A is moving, you need to look at how far it is from Star B and how strong the force of gravity is between Planet A and Star B.

The cool thing is that this works for any planet orbiting any star. So, if we take another planet (Planet C) and star (Star D), we can use the same formula to figure out how fast Planet C is moving.

This is really helpful for scientists who study space because it helps them understand how everything in the universe is connected and how it's all moving. Pretty neat, huh?
