Non sequitur (logic)

A non sequitur is a statement that doesn't make sense because it doesn't follow logically from what came before it. For example, if you were talking about food and then suddenly said "I like watching TV," that's a non sequitur. It doesn't make any sense because it doesn't relate to what you were just talking about. It doesn't follow logically from what you said before.
