ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Non-interventionism

Non-interventionism is a way of dealing with foreign countries that means to not get involved in their affairs. It is like if two countries lived next door to each other and one wasn't allowed to interfere with the other. This can mean that one country stays out of foreign wars, trade agreements, and diplomatic relationships with other countries. It is a way for countries to stay independent and control their own destiny.
