Noon

"Okay kiddo, imagine the sun as a big, bright ball of light up in the sky. When the sun is directly above us in the middle of the day, we call that time ‘noon’. It’s like a special time when the sun is at its highest point in the sky and everything looks really bright and sunny outside. It's like the middle point of the day, just like the middle of a sandwich. After that, the sun starts to go down towards the horizon and it gets darker again, just like when you eat your sandwich and there's less and less yummy stuff in the middle."
