Normans of Sicily
So, a very very long time ago, there was a group of people called the Normans.
They lived in a place called Normandy, which is in a different country than Sicily.
But, one day, some of the Normans decided to go visit Sicily. When they got there, they liked it so much that they decided to stay and make it their own home.
The Normans of Sicily were very different than the people who already lived there. They spoke a different language and had different beliefs and customs.
At first, the people who already lived in Sicily didn't really like the Normans. But, over time, they all started to blend together and create a new culture.
The Normans of Sicily became really good at things like farming and building. They also became famous for being really tough fighters.
Eventually, the Normans of Sicily became their own group of people with their own traditions and culture. Today, their influence can still be seen in many parts of Sicily.
