Northumbria

Northumbria is a place that is located in the northeast part of something called Great Britain. It is a very old place that has been around for a long time!

A long, long time ago, there were two different groups of people who lived in Northumbria. They were called the Angles and the Saxons. They spoke different languages and had different cultures, but eventually they came together to form one big group of people who all lived in Northumbria.

Northumbria was a very important place in history because it was a center of learning and religion. There were lots of really smart people who lived there and they taught others about important things like writing and art and music.

Today, Northumbria is still an important place with lots of things to see and do. There are big cities and beautiful countryside, and lots of people still live there and call it home.
