Novelty effect is when something new and exciting catches our attention and makes us feel curious and interested. It's like when you get a new toy or visit a new place for the first time, and you can't wait to play with it or explore every corner. When we experience something novel, our brain releases a chemical called dopamine that makes us feel happy and satisfied. However, after repeated exposure to the same thing, the novelty effect wears off, and it becomes less exciting and interesting. In other words, the more we do something, the less novel and exciting it becomes. To keep experiencing the novelty effect, we need to seek out new and different things to explore and enjoy.
