Nursing in Kenya

Okay, so you know how sometimes when you get hurt or sick, you go to the doctor? But sometimes, the doctor is very busy and has a lot of patients to see, so they need help from someone else to take care of you and make sure you are okay. That someone else is called a nurse!

In Kenya, nurses are very important because they help the doctors take care of people who are sick or hurt. They work in hospitals, clinics, and other places where people go when they need medical help. Nurses have to study very hard in school to learn how to take care of people, and they learn things like how to give medicine, check vital signs (like your heartbeat and temperature) and how to make sure people are comfortable and safe.

There are many different types of nurses in Kenya, and they all do different things to help people. Some nurses work with babies and children, and some nurses work with adults. There are also nurses who specialize in things like mental health, surgery, or taking care of people at home.

Nursing is a very important job because it helps people feel better when they are sick or hurt. Nurses are very kind and caring, and they always try to make their patients feel better. So, if you ever get sick or hurt in Kenya, you can always count on a nurse to help you feel better!
