Nuttcp

Okay, so nuttcp is a funny sounding word, but it's actually a computer program that helps people test how fast their internet connection is.

Imagine you have a toy car with a long track you can race it on. You want to know how fast the car can go, right?

Well, nuttcp is kind of like a timer for your internet connection. It sends little messages back and forth between your computer and another computer somewhere else, and times how long it takes for those messages to go back and forth.

Then, nuttcp takes all those little timer numbers and adds them up to get an average speed. It's kind of like how you might time how long it takes you to run back and forth in your backyard, and then figure out how fast you can run on average.

Why would you want to test your internet speed with nuttcp? Well, if your internet is too slow, it can be hard to watch videos or play games online. By using nuttcp to test your internet speed, you can find out if you need to upgrade your internet service to get faster speeds.
