Nuuttipukki

Nuuttipukki is a Finnish Christmas tradition where people dress up as Santa Claus to go from house to house to give presents and sweets to children. The word comes from two Finnish words: "nuutti," which means "yule" and "pukki," which means "buck." So it's a festive, yule-buck, gift-giving character.

In Finland, the Nuuttipukki is often portrayed as a mischievous and slightly scary figure, as it's believed he has the power to bring good luck or cause mischief. People would often dance and perform around the Nuuttipukki character to entertain and bring joy to the community.

So if you ever go to Finland during the holiday season and see someone dressed in a Santa Claus costume, giving out presents and sweets, you can say "hello" to the Nuuttipukki!
