Oath of Allegiance (Sweden)

Okay, so you know how when we are part of a group, like a family or a team, we promise to be loyal and kind to everyone in the group? That's kind of like what an oath of allegiance is.

In Sweden, when someone becomes a citizen or works for the government, they have to promise to be loyal and follow the rules of Sweden. This promise is called an oath of allegiance.

When you say the oath, you promise to be a good citizen and follow the laws of Sweden. You promise to be kind to others, and to help make Sweden a happy and safe place for everyone to live.

It's like making a big promise that you will do your best to be a good person and follow the rules. And when you make this promise, you become part of the bigger Swedish community.
