Object Data Management Group

Object data management group (ODMG) is an organization that develops standards for how computers and computer programs can store and organize data. Basically, an ODMG standard defines rules that all programs have to follow when storing and organizing data. This helps make sure that different programs can use the same data even if they have been written by different people or in different ways. ODMG standards help make sure that data is stored in a consistent, organized way that makes sense to everyone, no matter what kind of program they are using.
