Object-role modeling (ORM) is a way of looking at information. It's like a map. The map shows how the different pieces of information are related and connected. For example, if you were using an ORM to show how people in a family are connected, you'd draw lines to show who is related to whom. You could draw a line from "mom" to "dad" to show they are married. You could draw a line from "mom" to "son" or "daughter" to show that they are related. ORM makes it easier to understand how different parts of an organization or system are related.
