ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Observational error

Observational error happens when someone who is watching or measuring something such as a person’s height, weight or temperature makes a mistake and doesn't get the correct answer. For example, if someone measures the height of a tree and they make a mistake, they might get the wrong height, so their measurement is not accurate. Observational errors can also happen when someone is taking a survey or a test and they don't answer correctly.
