Obstetrician-gynecologist

Okay kiddo, so an obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN for short, is a doctor who takes care of girls and women.

The first word, obstetrician, means the doctor helps moms-to-be have healthy pregnancies and deliver babies safely. They check on the baby's growth and the mom's health, and make sure everything is going okay. When it's time for the baby to be born, the obstetrician helps the mom through the delivery process.

The second word, gynecologist, means the doctor helps girls and women with their reproductive organs. They check to make sure everything is healthy and working properly, and help with any issues like painful periods, infections, or fertility problems. They also do check-ups for things like breast cancer and cervical cancer.

So basically, an OB-GYN is like a superhero doctor who takes care of girls and women's bodies during all the stages of life from puberty to pregnancy and everything in between.
