Occitan language

Okay kiddo, let me tell you all about the Occitan language! It's a language that's been around for a really long time, even before schools were invented.

You know how we speak English, and some people speak Spanish or French? Well, the people who live in a special place called Occitania speak Occitan. They live in an area that covers parts of France, Spain, Monaco, and Italy.

Occitan is a bit different from English though. It has its own special words and sounds that makes it unique. Some of the words are even similar to those in French and Spanish since those countries also share a border with Occitania.

Occitan uses a special kind of alphabet called the Occitan alphabet. It has some letters that we don't have in English, like "ç" and "è".

For a long time, people in Occitania have been proud of their language and culture. But sometimes, people who speak other languages were mean to them and didn't like that they spoke Occitan. This made some people stop using Occitan and only speak other languages like French or Spanish.
