Occupational exposure banding

Occupational exposure banding is a way of measuring how much danger a person is in while they're at work. It works by looking at the amount and kind of dangerous materials (called chemicals) a person is exposed to when they're working. Depending on how dangerous the chemicals are, they are put into different 'bands' which help to tell us how much risk a person is in when they're at work. The bands range from very low risk (band 1) to very high risk (band 6). It's important to use occupational exposure banding to make sure people stay safe at work.
