Ocean surface wave

Ocean surface waves are like ripples on the surface of the ocean, like when you throw a pebble into a pond. The wind blows over the top of the ocean and makes the surface go up and down in waves. The waves might look big from the shore, but when you are in the middle they are usually only a few feet high. The bigger the wind, usually the bigger the waves.
