Official bilingualism in Canada

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard someone speak a different language than you? In Canada, we have two very important languages: English and French. Official Bilingualism means that the government has to use both English and French for important things like signs, documents, laws and more. This way, everyone in Canada can communicate and understand important information in both languages. It's like when you learn a new word in school, you want to tell your friend who speaks a different language about it, and you both want to understand each other. That's what Official Bilingualism means - making sure everyone can understand important things no matter what language they speak.
