Ofuro

Ofuro is a special kind of bathtub that people in Japan like to use. It's different from the bathtubs you might be used to because it's much deeper and made of wood.

When you take a bath in an ofuro, you fill it up with warm water and get inside. Because the tub is deeper than a regular bathtub, you can sit inside the water up to your chest, and sometimes even up to your neck! It's like sitting in a hot tub, but without all the bubbles and jets.

People in Japan love to use ofuros to relax and unwind after a long day. It's a great way to soothe sore muscles and calm your mind. Sometimes, people even add special things to their ofuro, like herbs or salts, to make the water even more relaxing and therapeutic.

Ofuros are actually a very old tradition in Japan, dating back hundreds of years. Even though people now have modern bathtubs, many Japanese people still enjoy using ofuros because it feels like a special and traditional way to take care of themselves.
