Ohmmeter

An ohmmeter is a tool that helps us check how much resistance something has. Resistance means how much something is trying to stop electricity from flowing through it.

Think of it like a bunch of tiny soldiers trying to get through a wall. If the wall is very thick and strong, it's going to be harder for the soldiers to get through – this is like something with high resistance. If the wall is thin and weak, the soldiers can easily break through – this is like something with low resistance.

An ohmmeter measures how hard it is for electricity to flow through something by sending a tiny amount of electricity through it and then measuring how much gets through. This helps us know if something is working properly or if it's damaged and needs to be fixed.

It's like if you wanted to see if your toy car was working, you would try to roll it along the ground. If it rolled smoothly, it's working properly. If it didn't roll at all, something might be broken and it needs to be fixed. The ohmmeter does the same thing but with electricity.
