Old Earth creationism

Old Earth Creationism is a type of belief system that says God created the world and everything in it, but that it took longer than six 24-hour days as described in the Bible. People who believe this say that, within the timescale given in the Bible, God put things in motion that took thousands or even millions of years to happen.
