Cosmogony

Cosmogony is about trying to figure out how the universe was created. Scientists have been working for a very long time to try and understand where everything in our universe came from. One popular idea is that there was a big explosion called the Big Bang that happened a very long time ago which created everything in the universe, from stars to planets to galaxies. Scientists believe that all of this happened from a tiny point that contained all of the matter and energy in the entire universe and then it exploded pop! That tiny point is what scientists call the singularity.
