Oldest dated rocks are rocks that scientists have studied and determined that they are the oldest rocks in the world! Rocks are made from different combinations of minerals, and scientists use special tools, like radioactivity dating, to find out exactly how old a rock is. That way, they can go back in time and figure out how the Earth changed over millions or even billions of years!
