ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Omega

Omega is a letter in the Greek alphabet. In science, it is used to describe something called angular velocity, which is basically how fast something is spinning in a circle.

Imagine a big wheel that turns around and around really fast. That wheel has angular velocity, or omega. Omega is measured in a unit called radians per second, which is like a way of talking about how far the wheel has turned in a certain amount of time.

In math, we use omega a lot to talk about things like waves and oscillations. When something moves back and forth or up and down in a repeating pattern, we can describe its motion using omega.

Overall, omega is a pretty cool letter and very useful for describing how things move and spin.
