On-and-off relationship

On-and-off relationships are relationships that don't last a long time. Instead, the two people keep breaking up and getting back together again. They might stay together for a little while, but then they break up and don't talk for a while. But then, after some time has passed, they decide to try again and start dating each other again. Then they might break up again and the cycle keeps going.
