ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

OnStar

OnStar is a service offered by General Motors (GM) that links your car to a company called OnStar. OnStar provides an array of services, from help when you get a flat tire to tracking your car if it's stolen. It's like a personal assistant for your car! The way it works is:

1. You sign up for OnStar services in your GM car and get a special device installed in your car.

2. When you press the OnStar button in your car, you will be connected to OnStar's customer service. You can then ask for help with things like roadside assistance, vehicle diagnostics and navigation, and stolen vehicle tracking.

3. OnStar will then send help to you if you need it, like a tow truck if you have a flat tire, or send the police if your car is stolen.

In a nutshell, OnStar is a way to get help when it comes to your car, even when you're far away from home.
