Ondes Martenot
The ondes martenot is a musical instrument that makes really cool noises! Imagine a big box with a long cord that can stretch out really far. When you play it, you can make sounds that go up and down like a rollercoaster, or sounds that go high and low like a bird flying in the sky.
It works like this: inside the box, there are little wires that vibrate when you touch them. This makes the sound come out of the speakers on the box. The cord that stretches out is called a "ribbon" and when you move your fingers up and down the ribbon, it changes how the sound comes out, making it higher or lower.
