ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

One-room jail

Okay, so imagine a really small room. It's so small, only one person can fit inside. Now, pretend that this room is like a jail - a place where people who have done something wrong have to stay. That's what we call a one-room jail.

Now, why would someone have to go to a one-room jail instead of a big jail with lots of rooms? Well, maybe they did something really minor - like breaking a rule that isn't too serious. Or maybe they are waiting to go to court and they can't go home in the meantime. In those cases, a one-room jail is a good option because it's cheaper and easier to manage than a big jail.

But even though it's small, a one-room jail still has everything that a person needs to be safe and comfortable. There's a bed to sleep on, a bathroom for when they need to go, and some books or games to keep them entertained. And when the time comes for them to leave, they can go back to their normal life!
