One-time password

A one-time password (or OTP) is a special kind of password that is only used once. It's like a key that you use to enter a door once and then it won't work anymore. Lots of websites and apps use one-time passwords to make sure that only you can access your account. When you use a one-time password, it's like you have a special code that only you know and that code unlocks a secure door. So, even if someone else finds out your regular password, they won't be able to get into your account because they don't have the one-time password.
