ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Online machine learning

Hey there kiddo! Do you know what machine learning is? It's when computers are trained to learn things on their own, without being specifically programmed to do so.

Now, online machine learning is just like regular machine learning, but it happens in real time, as data is coming in. So, let's say you have a computer program that's trying to predict what the weather will be like tomorrow. With online machine learning, as new weather data comes in, the program will use that data to adjust its predictions and get better and better at predicting the weather as time goes on.

It's kind of like learning to ride a bike. At first, you might not be very good at it and might fall off a few times. But each time you fall off, you adjust your balance and learn how to do it better for the next time. Online machine learning works the same way, using new data to adjust and improve its predictions over time. Pretty neat, huh?
