Online petition

An online petition is a way for people to let the government or other people know how they feel about a certain thing. It's like a letter, but instead of sending it to one person, you send it to lots of people, and it's all done online. It can be used to tell government officials that people want something to change or to tell companies that people don't like something. When lots of people send in their petition, the government or company can't ignore it - they have to take notice.
