Open-source movement

The open-source movement is an idea that says that everyone should be able to use and modify software and other products for free, without paying for them. It's based on the idea that if everyone shares their work and helps each other, we can all learn and create better things together. Open-source means that the software or product is available for anyone to download and use, and that anyone can submit changes or improvements to it. This can be done for free, and then everyone can benefit from others' work, instead of just a single company or group of people.
