Optical disc authoring is kind of like making a special CD or DVD all by yourself!
First, you need a blank disc, kind of like how you need a blank piece of paper to draw on. Then, you use special software on a computer to add stuff to the disc.
The stuff you can add can be all different kinds of things! You can add pictures, videos, music, and even computer programs. But you have to make sure you don’t add too much stuff, because the disc can only hold a certain amount of information!
Once you have all the stuff you want on the disc, you can then “burn” it, which is kind of like baking a cake. The computer makes a special copy of all the information and puts it onto the disc.
Now, you have your very own personalized special disc that you can watch or listen to on a special machine called a CD or DVD player!
