Optical sorting

Optical sorting is a way of sorting things by using cameras and light. It works by shining a bright light on an item. A camera then looks at the light reflecting off the item to get an image of it. A computer then looks at the image and decides what the item is, and then sorts it into the right place. Optical sorting is very accurate and can work quickly, so it's often used in factories to sort products into different containers.
