Ordoliberalism is an economic theory that says countries should have rules and laws to help their economies stay strong and healthy. This means that the government should have policies and regulations to protect businesses, workers, and consumers; make sure taxes are fair; and keep inflation low. It also encourages competition, which helps businesses be more efficient and productive. It is sometimes called a ‘middle-way’ because it balances the rights of businesses and consumers, and makes sure the economy is not too ‘free’ or too ‘controlled’.
