Oriental studies

Oriental studies is a type of learning where people study about countries like China, Japan, India, and other places that are in what is called "the Orient." You can think of the Orient as a big area in the eastern part of the world, like when you look at a map and see Asia. When someone studies Oriental studies, they learn lots of things about these countries like their history, culture, language, and traditions. They may also learn about things like their religion, art, and literature. Oriental studies is really fun because you get to learn about things that are different from what you may be used to, and that can help you be better at understanding and talking to people from those countries!
