Original equipment manufacturer

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is a company that makes products for other companies to resell. For example, a computer manufacturer can buy parts from an OEM and put them together to make their own computers and sell them. The OEM provides parts for the computer, like a hard drive, monitor, or keyboard. The OEM also helps the computer manufacturer decide which components to use and how to put them together.
