Orthopedic surgery

Orthopedic surgery is when doctors use medical tools to fix (or "repair") parts of the body, especially bones, muscles, joints and ligaments. This can be done when the body is injured, or when someone has a condition like arthritis, where the joints are very sore or tight. Orthopedic surgery can also help if someone needs a new joint or an artificial (man-made) limb.
